About me

I have been a proud resident of Fairview/Clayton Park for over 25 years. Originally from Cape Breton, I moved to Fairview in the early 90's to attend Mount Saint Vincent University . I choose to remain here and raise my family because of the safe, inclusive, and family oriented atmosphere.

As a single parent, it was important to me to keep my children active in both school and extra curricular activities. Immediately I saw the need for volunteers within these groups, and over the years have spent countless hours working with the schools, local hockey, the cadet corps, and various community groups. 

Shortly after the birth of my daughter, I began working at the IWK Health Centre and have remained there for the past 20 years.  I am proud to work in an organization that provides exceptional health care for women and children of the entire maritime provinces.  

My daughter attends St. Mary's University and my son is in grade 12 at Halifax West High School. Now that my children are older I have time to focus my energy & passion into achieving meaningful changes not only for my family, but for yours too!
